Mrs. Carson City Nevada America grants a wish to MS Patient.

Jason Smith is 16 years old and has been diagnosed with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy since the age of 3 years. Jason’s ultimate wish was to visit Italy. Due to his condition, a long trip from the states to Europe would have not been feasible. Instead, Jason chose to visit Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jason was nervous at first. However, he conquered being afraid of heights. Jason and his siblings then picked out sweaters and souvenirs to take home to remember their flight. This moment is one down for the books! "

Jason expressed interest to experience Las Vegas including Vegas ITALY. The Make-A-Wish organization arranged his stay at the Venetian Las Vegas Resort which features the inspirational landmarks, including the Palazzo Ducale , Piazza San Marco, Piazzetta di San Marco, the Lion of Venice Column, the Column of Saint Theodore, St. Marks Campanile, and the Rialto Bridge.

Creating memories

During their visit, Amy Keed, Mrs. Carson City Nevada, heard Jason’s story and granted a wish for Jason and his family to fly over 1,200 feet above the world famous Las Vegas Strip and have unobstructed aerial views of the city.

Amy shared her memories of granting Jason’s wish, “Jason was nervous at first. However, he conquered being afraid of heights! Jason and his siblings then picked out sweaters and souvenirs to take home to remember their flight. This moment is one down for the books! Along the way, I really enjoyed meeting wonderful individuals who welcomed me with such humbled kindness. Special thanks to Grand Canyon Helicopters and Papillon for being so wonderful to all of us and making this moment memorable for Jason and his family.”
